County Kildare VEC is making an application to the Department of Education and Skills to become patron of the new Post-Primary school in Maynooth, starting in 2014.

Last July, the Minister for Education & Skills announced the merger of VECs with a reduction from 33 to 16.  Kildare and Wicklow will merge as one VEC.  Today the Minister announced that the Head Office for the new VEC structure will be in Naas with a sub-office in Wicklow.
