County Kildare Vocational Education Committee (VEC) provides a comprehensive range of education services throughout Kildare. As the largest educational provider in the county, the VEC provides educational opportunities for learning from the ‘cradle to the grave’ through a VEC Community National School, Second Level Schools, Post Leaving Certificate Courses (PLCs), Adult and Community Education and Youth Support Service. County Kildare VEC places learning and the learner at the heart of its educational provision and as stated in its mission statement, the VEC “will provide learners with flexible education opportunities, which are of the highest quality and its programmes will reflect current and emerging knowledge and practices and will be relevant to the needs of the individual and our county”.
